Future Raid Planning

by Ichael, 158 days ago

Greetings folks.

As we will gradually come to a point when many of us will be within a level range to allow us to begin scheduling guild-organized raids and events, I would like for everyone to consider how we are to proceed. I have set up two threads in Member Discussion for everyone to provide their preferences as far as raiding times and scheduled days. Please provide us with input so that the council may have an understanding as to the preferences of our members who wish to be involved in guild events, which would then allow us to actually schedule said events for you all.

Thank you all for your time.

Sovereignty is now Level 3!

by Knosian, 165 days ago

I am happy to announce that the legion is now officially Level 3! All in less than a week, too. A huge thanks to everyone that contributed (both kinah and contribution points). Without you guys, this wouldn't of been possible.

Updated the logo with different color scheme (grey/blue and white, with black background)

That being said, I have managed to transfer our emblem into the game. From what Entrysus informed me, in order to keep the transparency in the game, I would have to convert it into a Targa (TGA) file, using an alpha channel. Unfortunately, these don't accept the detail in transparency as I had hoped, so I had to remove the shadow. I also had to remove the outline, as it was barely even noticeable when I shrank the original down to the size it needed to be. Then it came down to tweaking it and looking at it in game, as what you see is not necessarily what you get in game. What I finally came up with was the result you see above. Now, this is by no means permanent. I asked around what color we should go with and most in the legion seemed to agree that a black or dark gray would work best.

So here's where I'd like to hear your responses. Let me know what you think. Do you like the new colors? What would you change? Be brutal with me, I want honesty. Thanks guys, and I'll see you in game.

Official Release and Day 2 for Sovereignty

by Knosian, 169 days ago

Greetings,

It's been a very busy last couple of days for the legion. I for one am overly amazed at how come together this legion has become. On day one we were not only able to get the legion up within a couple hours of headstarts launch, but we were able to get level 2 by the end of the evening (would of been earlier if I wasn't stuck in a 3 1/2 hour queue). Again, many thanks goes out to all the members that generously donated to make this happen. Also, thanks goes out to those that patiently waited for an invite while we worked on getting this.

Our next goal is to get the legion to level 3. This will up the cap to 90 members (not sure if we'll ever have the need to go that high), but also allow us to wear our legions emblem / colors. The requirements for this are:

+1.2 Million Kinah
+20,000 Contribution Points

I'll be taking donations and placing them in the legions vault, then tallying up what we have so far in kinah and contribution points, and putting that updated number in the announcement. I may also update this when we're getting closer to our mark.

Also I came across an article posted by Knite at aionsource.com regarding an interview with Brian Knox, regarding the current issues with the headstart. The post doesn't go over much other than them explaining the need for queues and why they are doing what they are doing. They are also looking into the the AFK personal shops as well. For more information, check out the post at: http://www.aionsource.com/forum/news-announcements/63744-aion-head-start-issues-interview.html

I for one haven't had the need to use a personal shop to AFK, except for last night while making dinner. The only reason I was even able to log in last night was because I was able to remotely log into my computer while in class and get myself in queue, then got home, logged in, and setup a shop while i made a meal (probably didnt even need to, but didnt want to risk it). I have been through multiple MMO's and thus know the need for these queues, however frustrating them may be. I trust that this isn't a lasting issue and once things settle, queues will be a thing of the past. /crossfingers
